Hello Gorgeous!

This weekend we began one of our last big projects on the house. The laminate flooring installation on the lower level.

The basement has been a concrete slab since the day after we officially moved in and ripped out the carpet. The dirt that the original contractors, left nestled under there 16 years ago has faithfully hung around. I think this was simply to give me the delight of sweeping great clouds of fine red dust around causing me to sneeze violently and my eyes to water.

After the memory of the painful body parts from installing bamboo flooring faded, I've been chomping at the bit to continue with the lower level. And am I glad we finally got to it. So far, it is Gorgeous!
