A Constructive Weekend

My parents came down this weekend and you know what that means: Things actually were accomplished! The first project was removing the old light box on the two story stairway and installing a new lightbox and light.

I've been waiting for months to install this light. It hangs in our stairway and goes unnoticed for the most part. But once you notice it, it just does not go with the rest of the house. It's a very 80s-90s style, while we have more of an ecclectic style in the house.

So I had to wait until we could get the ladder from my parents. Then I had to wait until Kevin was available to hold the ladder. Then I broke the lightbox and had to wait for my Dad to come and figure out what to do. So now we have this beautiful new light that is eccentric and funky and screams those crazy Farrells!
